The application submission deadline is 1 March 2020 at 5pm.

The West of England AHSN has once again teamed up with the leading university business incubator, SETsquared to bring you the HIP. This year the programme has been redesigned to bring you a new mixture of workshops, lecture content and peer learning. Throughout the programme you will receive high quality coaching, mentoring and personal development support.

The HIP is open for health care innovators and is aimed at those who have a business proposition and are committed to making it happen.

You will have the opportunity to learn core skills in entrepreneurship, learn more about the health sector in the UK and develop skills in the areas of:

  • market segmentation and understanding the NHS as a marketplace
  • understanding the all-important problem/solution fit
  • choosing revenue models
  • understanding an investors view
  • evaluating your proposition
  • hints and tips on how to pitch successfully

There are 15 spaces available for participants in the West of England, South West and Wessex AHSN regions. The course is fully funded by the West of England AHSN, but an application and selection process will apply. Please note, to be considered for the HIP, one application form will need to be completed per applicant and submitted by the deadline outlined above.

Further details, such as access to the application form, the concepts covered during the course and FAQs can be found on The West of England AHSN website.

The HIP featured recently in the Life Science Industry Magazine, please follow this link to read the case study.
