Vacancies! Clinical Research Specialty Leads in the West of England

The NIHR Clinical Research Network West of England is seeking to appoint enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to work with the Clinical Divisional Lead and the senior operational management team within the local clinical research network to deliver research across the region. Applications are sought from individuals who are key research leaders within the following fields:
  • Dementia
  • Infection
  • Metabolic and endocrine disorders
  • Musculoskeletal disorders
  • Neurological disorders
  • Neurodegeneration
  • Oral and dental health
  • Respiratory disorders
We welcome applications from all NHS and other relevant professional backgrounds.

You will need to have previous leadership experience and a detailed understanding of the development and delivery of research as well as experience of national systems, structures and processes for supporting and delivering clinical research in the NHS or other settings. You must also be strongly committed to bringing the benefits to patients through the delivery of excellent patient or population focused research.

You will need the ability to work in a self-directed and flexible manner and be able to make a positive contribution across the wider research network through the Clinical Research Specialty Leads role. 

Experience as a clinical investigator leading a multi-centre clinical research study is particularly welcomed.

This post includes travel to local meetings within West of England sites and NIHR CRN Coordinating Centre (NIHR CRNCC) national meetings.
