Primary Care Nurse event brings together RNs and HCAs across W.E

Nurses from practices across the West of England attended our CRN W.E. hosted Primary Care Nurse Event in late November, to share knowledge and best practice, facilitate networking, and discuss research delivery in primary care - with the overall theme of 'Continuing professional development'.

There was a great turn out, with Nurses and Health Care Assistants attending from practices across the West of England, along with members of the CRN West of England Primary Care Team.

The afternoon included presentations from Lara Peniket, Practice Nurse from the Cotswold Collaborative, who shared her personal experience of the Advanced Leadership Programme, and Emma Heron, Research Training Lead Facilitator, who discussed making the most of the research community on Twitter.

Workshop sessions included ideas around how the Network can help overcome challenges, such as isolation for research staff in practices. We will be reporting back with ideas and suggestions in 2019.
